About Us

HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH

Loved, Transformed, and Sent

We are one community, Loved by the Father,
Transformed by the Son, and Sent by the Holy Spirit.

"And they held steadfastly to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers. And fear came upon every soul; and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common; and they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they partook of food with glad and generous hearts,

praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."
Acts 2:42-47, The First Christian Community

EXPECTING MORE

Filled With the Holy Spirit

God the Father, "who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think" (Ephesians 3:20), has more for every person — more love, more joy, more peace.

Our parish life is built around three ideas related to the more God has for us:

  • Discovering More — encountering the love of God through worship and the sacraments;

  • Developing More — growing in faith and being transformed at every age and stage of life; and

  • Delivering More — being sent out to use our gifts and charisms to bring God's love to our neighbors and our world.

Holy Spirit Catholic Church is in the Diocese of Charleston, and we are proud to be the Catholic community serving Johns Island, Wadmalaw Island, Seabrook Island, and Kiawah Island.
