Where Is God Leading Us Next?

Over the past year, we have been asking an important question together: Where is God leading Holy Spirit Parish next?

This question has shaped our Mission Development Path—a process of prayer, listening, and planning to help us grow as a parish and live out the mission God has given us.

At our first Town Hall, we asked you to share your hopes, ideas, and concerns for our parish. Since then, four Strategic Growth Area working groups have been taking that feedback seriously, praying and discerning together, and working through the many ideas that were shared.

At our recent Town Hall, these groups presented the current initiatives they believe are the best places to begin in our first year. These are not a finished plan or a list of things set in stone. They are the fruit of our parish conversation so far—practical steps we can begin taking now as we continue to listen, learn, and discern where the Holy Spirit is leading us.

Our vision is simple: One community of disciples, filled, led, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be loved, transformed, and sent.

That vision gives us a way to look at everything we do as a parish.

Loved: Sacred Worship

We want to grow as a people who know the love of Christ and encounter Him in prayer and worship. The current initiatives include strengthening our Sunday experience, growing Eucharistic Adoration, and helping parishioners develop a deeper habit of praying with Sacred Scripture.

Transformed: Discipleship Formation

Following Jesus changes us. We want to understand and embrace our faith more deeply and support others in their faith formation. The current initiatives include strengthening Faith and Family Formation, equipping parents to lead their children in faith, expanding retreats and small-group faith opportunities, and making resources such as Formed.org more available to our parish.

Sent: Mission Stewardship

Empowered by the Holy Spirit we are sent to give, serve, witness, and invite others into the life of the Church. The current initiatives include better welcoming and connecting with new parishioners, creating more opportunities to get involved in parish ministries, and taking a fresh look at how we serve those in need and share the Gospel.

Supporting the Mission

We are blessed as a parish with a strong foundation thanks to the work of committed parishioners over the years. Our parish’s continued growth and strong engagement requires us to evaluate how we evolve to meet current and future needs.

Our Finance & Organization work will focus on the practical needs that support our pastoral mission. These include planning for our campus and facilities, parish staffing, communications, and the systems we need to serve a growing parish well.

These are our current priorities for the year ahead. They will continue to take shape as we put them into practice, learn from what works, and keep listening to the needs of our parish.

The Mission Development Path is ultimately about becoming the parish God is calling us to be—a community that is loved by Christ, transformed by Him, and sent into the world in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, shared ideas, attended a Town Hall, served on a planning team, or simply taken the time to ask where God may be leading our parish.

The conversation continues. The work is beginning. And we are excited to see where

the Holy Spirit leads us next.

LOOKING AHEAD TOGETHER

We Are Discerning Our Parish Future Together

Following our second set of Town Halls, we will be finalizing our Long-Range Parish Pastoral Plan — a vision for how Holy Spirit will grow, serve, and flourish in the years ahead.
