Every summer, Holy Spirit collects school supplies to help local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn. Donations support students from Edith L. Frierson Elementary School, St. John's High School, and families from our parish community.

2026 School Supplies Drive & Blessing of the Backpacks 

You can help by purchasing items from our Amazon wish list or donating new school supplies. Donations can be dropped off in the parish office during the week or in the narthex during the collection period.

The drive concludes with our annual Blessing of the Backpacks, when students bring their backpacks to Mass to receive a special blessing for the new school year. 

This is an easy way for individuals and families to make a difference in the lives of local students and show them that their church community is cheering them on.
