Lectors proclaim the Living Word of God during the Sacred Liturgy. This ministry is a sacred responsibility that calls for preparation, reverence, and a love for Scripture. Through their proclamation, lectors help the assembly encounter Christ speaking through His Word.

Volunteers are provided with a Lector Handbook and guidance to support prayerful preparation and confident proclamation. Scheduling is published in three-month cycles, allowing lectors to plan ahead or arrange substitutes when needed. Part-time residents are welcome and encouraged to share their availability so scheduling can be coordinated effectively.

Serving as a lector is an opportunity to grow in faith, deepen one’s familiarity with Scripture, and help others hear God’s voice in the liturgy.
