The Ushers serve to welcome parish members and especially visitors to Mass at each service.  A smile and greeting for everyone to make them feel welcome can mean a lot, particularly if they are having a less than stellar day.  Ushers assist in helping people find facilities, get seated at crowded masses, talk to a priest if needed, or find a spot for those with mobility issues. 

Ushers are responsible for the passing of the offertory baskets and securing the money as well.  Lastly, Ushers pass out bulletins to parishioners as they depart and invite them back for next week.
