Connecting Threads
Create prayer blankets and handmade gifts that bring comfort, care, and Christ's love to others.
The Connecting Threads Guild is a ministry of prayer, compassion, and creativity. Through the art of quilting, members create prayer quilts that are given to parishioners, family members, and friends who are experiencing illness, hardship, loss, or other challenges.
Each prayer quilt is made with love and tied with prayer. As the quilt is completed, every knot is tied while offering a specific prayer for the person who will receive it. The finished quilt becomes a tangible reminder of God's presence and the support of a caring faith community.
In addition to serving members of our parish and local community, the guild also creates quilts for special outreach efforts, including women residing at the St. Clare Home of Joyful Hope. These quilts are offered as signs of encouragement, compassion, and prayerful support for mothers and families facing difficult circumstances.
Anyone may sponsor a prayer quilt for a loved one by contacting a member of the guild or the parish office.
Whether you are an experienced quilter or simply interested in serving alongside others, you are welcome to join this ministry of prayer and care.
Meeting Time
The Connecting Threads Guild meets on the first Friday and third Wednesday of each month at 9:30 AM in the Family Life Center.
