The Arimathean Ministry began in 2020 and is named in memory of Joseph of Arimathea, who lovingly offered his gardens for the body of the crucified Christ. It is a hands-on group of men and women who take care of horticulture, statuary and associated structures in the Holy Spirit Cemetery, Columbarium, Chapel Walk, Stations of the Cross, Garden of the Unborn, Parish Life Center, Founders Place and Main Church gardens and plaza. In this work, we witness to our Catholic faith's commitment to life from birth to natural death and create beautiful, prayerful space that honors our departed parishioners and also  welcomes those who seek quiet, meditative areas for personal or group prayer and reflection. 

Holy Spirit is one of only a few Catholic Churches in the diocese that have  burial space adjacent to the church and we are blessed to have acres of maritime forest which we can protect and enhance for the glory of God!  

We are a motley crew of experienced and inexperienced gardeners, hedge-pruners, tree-trimmers, statue-washers, moss-pullers, grass-growers, fountain-restorers, landscape planners, carpenters, painters, mulch-spreaders,  trouble-shooters, problem-fixers, shed-builders and cleaner-uppers.  

We have a good time working together from 9-11 am on Monday mornings  from March 1 to mid-December, and when we decorate the church grounds for Christmas.  

We welcome new members at any point during the calendar year.
